‘Hooligan’ Marcus Kool and his gang of British & Irish wrestlers are coming to IPW to represent their home countries and take over Impact Pro Wrestling.
Bangers and Smash may have jovial implications, but things will be far from lighthearted when New Zealand’s own Michael Richards battles Marcus Kool of the United Kingdom!
With the nation in the grips of British & Irish Lions fever, it’s time for the UK and New Zealand rivalry to switch to the squared circle as the veteran Kool collides with one of the hottest Kiwi prospects in Richards. Fresh from another North American junket, Richards will be looking to turn his recent momentum into a focused attack against Kool as he looks to defend his territory in Impact Pro Wrestling.
The Hooligan Marcus Kool will not just have victory on his mind come Bangers & Smash, he’ll be looking to make it clear that when it comes to the United Kingdom, “playing away” means very little when you have the experience and guile to win by any means necessary.
Who will leave with the bragging rights in this NZ vs. UK battle at Bangers and Smash?
When you’re New Zealand Heavyweight Champion, you can expect to see challenges from all sides. They can come from bitter enemies, former friends, past tag team partners or even family. Yet sometimes it’s the challenges that stare you right in the face that you often don’t see until it’s too late. On July 9 James Shaw finds himself at the base of Everest, staring up at a very giant challenge.
Reuben de Jong is custom built to be NZ Heavyweight Champion. He is 7 ft and 130 kg’s of pure unadulterated physical matter. No stranger to being the bigger man in the fight, de Jong will know if he can apply his dominance swiftly that he can not only be at the top of the mountain…he will be the mountain.
For James Shaw, it’s like a stranger has a key to his mind and has moved all his things around. He’s done everything he can to be the man in Impact Pro Wrestling once again, sacrificing friendship and facilities of the mind along the way. At Bangers and Smash, Shaw has to come up with a plan to counter the challenge of de Jong, otherwise he has more to lose than just his Championship.
With the All Blacks vs. British & Irish Lions Series well underway, it’s time for Impact Pro Wrestling to break out a team contest of their own to light up Auckland in July!
Team New Zealand consisting of F.I.S.T, Liger and lead by Liam Fury will collide with New Zealand Tag Team Champions Privileged, Oliver Griffin and Team UK Captain Graham Hughes in a huge Four on Four Elimination Tag Team Match July 9 at Bangers and Smash.
Which team will end the night victorious?
Bangers and Smash will see the return of TK Cooper to Impact Pro Wrestling!
He’s made his mark in the UK with Progress Wrestling and now he’s back to put a stranglehold on the territory where it all began for him. But there is one man standing in his way, one competitor that has risen through the ranks to stand defiant against any man willing to attack the position he’s worked so hard for.
Former New Zealand Heavyweight Champion Brook Duncan knows what it is like to be at the top of the food chain, but he was only able to experience the appetizer before his meal was ripped from his grasp by a more desperate predator in James Shaw. If Brook Duncan wants to hold off the challenge of TK Cooper on July 9, he’ll need to make sure he’s the predator this time around.
Another factor to consider for this huge contest is the possible alliance between James Shaw & Cooper. Dhaila Black the sister of James Shaw, is one half of the South Pacific Power Couple with TK Cooper, leading to speculation that there could be manipulations by the Shaw family behind the scenes to make sure the threat of Duncan is dealt with at Bangers and Smash once and for all.
TK Cooper has made it clear he feels disrespected by the New Zealand fans and competitors and has revealed he will be fighting for the United Kingdom on July 9. Cooper is not looking for accolades, he’s looking to stage his own homecoming party by defeating Brook Duncan in front of a Kiwi audience.
Cooper is back to party at Bangers and Smash…but will Duncan crash it?
