Date: Saturday November 28, 2009
Time: 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm)
Venue: Lynfield Recreation Centre, Lynfield, Auckland
IPW will once again make history this November as one of the most unique and greatest matches ever devised returns!
Two rings will be constructed, two teams will collide and only one will come out on top in the Rival Turf Capture The Flag Match!
Representing NZ will be Team Knox, consisting of the captain “The Deal” Dal Knox, “The One” Vinny Dunn, Dils Deluxeo , Japanese star Kazuki and a mystery partner yet to be named, and they will battle Team Valentine representing Switzerland lead by Alfred Valentine and consisting of The Antagonist, Flagboy and Saint Chaos!
In one ring in the corner will stand the Silver Fern, and in the other ring will be the Swiss flag of Team Valentine, and the team who is first to have both flags in their ring and in their corner will be victorious!
The Knox/Valentine saga has reached a new level for Rival Turf, and many questions still remain as to whether Dal Knox is indeed fully recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered in October.
Has Dal Knox risked the possibility of severe injury in the hopes of gaining redemption against The “Ex-Patriot” in one of the most brutal matches in IPW?
Can Valentine once again stay away from the clutches of Knox and lead his team to victory in the process?
And just who is the final member of Team Knox?
It’s the huge double ring spectacular Rival Turf November 28!
After being victorious over an old enemy at Unleashed, IPW NZ Heavyweight Champion Joseph Kinkade will have to contend with another old nemesis at Rival Turf…Xtreme Superstar Davey Deluxeo! And it’s in a match both men are no strangers to, a huge Two out of Three Falls Match!
With the numbers game of the treacherous trio; Kinkade, Davis and Ivanoff are proving to be more than most can handle, but Deluxeo is perhaps best equipped to tackle Kinkade as he has the back up of his fellow Xtreme Superstars: brother Dils, sister Megan-Kate and Jordan Invincible by his side!
With both men knowing exactly what it takes to gain two falls in this type of match, will it be the numbers game on the outside that will dictate victory?
Or will it be the unmatched ability inside the ring of both men that will prove not only who is the best but decide who will meet "The One" Vinny Dunn as champion at Fans Bring The Weapons December 12?
It’s all about the numbers for the IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Championship at Rival Turf! Also at Rival Turf, The New Vogue's trickery at Unleashed has lead them to another face off with Pirates And Ninjas Are Totally Awesome!
Not only did they trick A-Class into signing his career over to them, Starr, Britenay and Jacobs also snatched the Top Team Prize Money at Unleashed, running from the scene with the cheque after "Handsome" Danny Jacobs was disqualified for the illegal use of a weapon.
IPW Commissioner Dion McCracken has made a statement in regards to the New Vogue's recent theft of the Top Team Prize money. "Unfortunately my hands are tied in regards to the contractual situation between A-Class and the New Vogue, the contract is legally binding. What I can do, however, is make a rematch between The New Vogue and Burns and Fury, and order Mr Jacobs and his associates to hand over the Top Team Prize money or face suspension."
"It's pathetic, why should we be punished for doing the right thing?" Paul Starr of the New Vogue told impactprowrestling.co.nz.
"The only thing we should be forced to do is give Pirate Burns and Ninja Fury fashion tips," Danny Jacobs continues. "I mean a rope for a belt? My god.
We'll show up to Rival Turf, but we want a fair chance to win the Top Team Prize money."
"It was not our fault that last time A-Class was really crappy," adds Britenay. "He cost us the match!"
With fan favourite A-Class contractually obligated to The New Vogue, will Jacobs again attempt to use the young IPW star once again to do their dirty work?
Will IPW's Top Team Pirates And Ninjas be able to put away the controversial New Vogue and celebrate the way only Fury and Burns can with their Top Team prize money?
Plus the number one contender for the IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Championship at Nightmare B4 Xmas "The One" Vinny Dunn battles Mischa Ivanoff!
Liger battles brand new IPW star Kazuki at Rival Turf!
After Emerald Justice disbanded just one month ago, Liger has shown a new mean streak to add to his already unique brand of wrestling.
"I know IPW fans are probably wondering why I turned my back on them and Emerald Justice. Well, what good is justice when the people you were trying to protect have become unsalvageable?" Liger told impactprowrestling.co.nz
"What good is justice when the very people who terrorised IPW for so long become lauded like heroes by the public? XS have always been an unruly mob, unashamedly using strength in numbers and thuggery to get what they want. The same people who have not changed one iota yet are championed by the fickle IPW fans."
"If that is what the fans are proud to call their heroes, then I'm am even prouder to call myself a villain. I will bring forth a dark reign of terror upon IPW. I will instill fear into the hearts of the so-called 'heroes.' To instill fear is to instill order."
"I have no problem being vilified and crucified for my actions today, for I know that tomorrow people will look back on this time and realise that I was a true hero. A true hero who stands up for his convictions even in the face of adversity. The end will justify the means."
"At Rival Turf, I'm scheduled to fight IPW's Japanese import, Kazuki. Unfortunately for the Rising Sun, his blackest night is just over the horizon. Kazuki is familiar with the Strong Style wrestling I employ, which was fashioned in Japan. But when you mix that Strong Style with the savagery of a Samoan, you get 7 shades more ferocity than anything he's ever felt in his life."
"It's nothing personal against Kazuki. I just happen to be the best there is at what I do, and what I do ain't pretty. I don't fly high, I don't mat wrestle, I just destroy people in the ring. Wins and losses don't count, true victory goes to the man who can stand on his own two feet and walk proudly out of the ring."
"So congratulations, Kazuki. I give you, oblivion!"
Can Kazuki survive the threat of Liger?
Or will Liger do exactly as he has promised?
It's Liger vs Kazuki at Rival Turf!
IPWA are set once again to invade New Zealand at Rival Turf!
Ashe will return to IPW bringing former Heavyweight Champion Skhorn with him to face the team of Lil T and Les West!
With Lil T and Ashe knowing each other well it perhaps may be the unpredictable style of Skhorn and Lest West that will decide which country will walk out of Rival Turf with bragging rights!
It's the West Auckland connection of Les West and Lil T battling IPW Australia's Ashe and Skhorn November 28!
Will Victor Lucid appear at Rival Turf to seek out The NZ Dream who disrupted his "huge announcement" at Unleashed? The NZ Dream has made a habit of showing up on his motorcycle and sharing with the fans his full throttle way of life, but has he finally annoyed the wrong man in IPW veteran Victor Lucid?
IPW: Rival Turf takes place on Saturday November 28 from 7pm (doors open 6.30pm) at the Lynfield Recreation Centre on Griffen Park Road, Lynfield, Auckland. Tickets are available at the door for $15 Adults, $8 Children (13 and under) with under 5s free.
