Preview: Former friends face off!
Sep 08, 2010 at 03:43 PM

Former friends and members of Smack Industries Jon E. King and Alexander will battle each other in a match where the distant and not so distant past could dictate just who comes out victorious this week on Ignition! Both King and Alexander know each other perhaps better than anyone. And it's that knowledge that could sway a victory to either man.

It's also the recent past that could prove the defining key to victory, King, coming off a shock loss to A-Class, has wounded pride to patch up, while Alexander has the pain of knowing he was the closest he has ever come to capturing the IPW Championship after his loss to Vinny Dunn in May.
Can the "Silverback" pick up a win and get himself back in the Championship race?

Or will it be Jon E. King defeating an old friend to get back on track?

Unleashed: New opportunities!
Sep 07, 2010 at 07:42 PM

IPW Commissioner Dion McCracken has named the next challenger for his hand picked IPW NZ Heavyweight Champion “The Deal” Dal Knox!

“Much like I explained at Fallout, I’m here to move the company forward. I’m not here to cater to competitors like Vinny Dunn; a man who is past his “use by” date. And a man I’ll deal with at Unleashed for his actions in striking me at Fallout. I’m here to look to the future, which is why the man challenging my “perfect Champion”, Dal Knox, at Unleashed will be the young upstart and Armageddon Cup Champion A-Class”.

“My role as Commissioner is about creating new opportunities and giving new blood time to shine. A-Class has an opportunity to compete with the very best in Dal Knox and I’m sure he’ll be up to the challenge, October 2nd in Papatoetoe.”

Knox defends against Invincible, not Dunn, at Fallout!
Sep 07, 2010 at 12:32 PM

IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion and Commissioner Dion McCracken continued to make life difficult for "Te Tahi" Vinny Dunn at this weekend's IPW Fallout live event.

The show began with Dunn confronting both men and the Commissioner then revealing that his plan to rid "Te Tahi" of the Championship had been in place for many months! Revealing that it was him who authorised the contract for Reuben de Jong at Genesis and that he had lied about Dunn failing a fitness test back at Breakdown. McCracken also made it clear that he, Knox, Pure Wrestling Entertainment and Team NZWPW conspired against Dunn to screw him out of the title at Rival Turf.

McCracken called Dunn a "transitional Champion", saying that he wasn't the man to lead IPW in to the future, but that Dal Knox, was.

After a verbal exchange, McCracken removed Dunn from his scheduled rematch and told "Te Tahi" that if he laid his hands on Knox or himself, he would be suspended indefinitely! McCracken then slapped Dunn in the middle of the ring, before ordering security to remove the former Champ from the building.

Later in the night, after a chair shot and a quick win for Dal Knox over the Waipukurau Warrior, Jordan Invincible came to the ring and goaded the Commissioner into accepting a challenge on Knox's behalf. Knox showed little sign of ring rust, as he, with the help of McCracken on the outside, went to work on the challenger.

IPW and Canteen NZ!
Sep 06, 2010 at 12:10 PM

IPW will be represented by “Te Tahi” Vinny Dunn at a very special Canteen Fundraiser Event September 11 at the Waikato Diocesan School Hall in Hamilton!

Hamilton's Miss Charity Nicole Isabeth is holding the event to raise money for Canteen NZ and is excited to have Vinny Dunn and IPW involved.

“After speaking with and working alongside canteen I have found a lot of young girls and guys thinking that there life is going to be a lot harder because they have had cancer and have no hair. This is one of the main reasons as to why young girls and men who are lucky enough to survive cancer get post traumatic stress disorder, this for me is heart breaking and I have chosen Vinny Dunn as he is a person I look up to.
