Bullion : Top Team, Commissioner, Redemption!
Saturday July 4, 2009

IPW Interim Commissioner and Attorney-at-Law, Kit Bullion, returned from his vacation in Europe and felt refreshed enough to discuss various current events within the IPW scene.

First on the agenda was the IPW Top Team Tournament. "I can confirm that the Xtreme Superstars are no longer competing in the tournament. Davey Deluxeo has suffered an injury to his shoulder that requires rest and rehabilitation. He will be out of action for at least two months. According to the rules already in place, substitute partners are not permitted, meaning that XS’ appeal to replace Davey with Dils Deluxeo has been rejected."

"The remaining teams will contest their final rounds of singles matches at IPW Redemption on July 18th. The teams with the most points will meet in the final at IPW Unbreakable, taking place on August 8 in Whangarei. A cash prize will be awarded to the winning team."

Bullion then went on to talk about the situation involving electing a new full-time IPW Commissioner. "This was a process that began with myself and IPW Management having a long discussion about what they saw the Commissioner role encompassing, then we sent out a request for applications for the position. We received four submissions and I have since been researching background information on each of the applicants."

"I am considering the possibility of researching the public opinion as well. What this means is that I may ask fans at IPW’s next show to vote for the applicant they feel would do the best job as Commissioner. This won’t be the final result but will go a long way to my final decision. After all, we want to keep IPW fans happy."

One area Bullion declined to go into detail was the fallout from the Knox-Valentine title match. "In regards to the New Zealand Heavyweight Title, it seems that the situation is not as simple as I first understood it to be. As the matters are complicated, it would not be wise for me to go into further detail at this point, but I am confident there will be a match for the title at Redemption".

Bullion concluded that "with a high profile rematch between two of the company’s best technical wrestlers sure to happen, a first blood match, the semi-finals of the IPW Top Team Tournament and stars from IPW Australia also scheduled to appear, IPW Redemption is shaping up to be a great event for every wrestling fan."
