Fallout: Kinkade victorious!
Tuesday September 8, 2009

Battered, bloodied and bruised, “The Professional” Joseph Kinkade, was the man who held the IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Championship belt aloft in victory as the new IPW Champion after the duplicitous Alfred Valentine distracted “The Deal” Dal Knox by bringing his daughter to ringside!

Knox put an end to Kinkade’s  posturing with a baseball slide that knocked him off the ring apron.  Kinkade put up a hue and cry about his nose, but he leap frogged Knox’s second baseball slide nimbly enough, but his gloating was cut short as Knox pulled his feet out from underneath him.

Taking it back into the ring the pair squared off, grappling for advantage.  Kinkade caught Knox’s crossbody, but he momentum carried them both over the ropes, and Knox went to work on Kinkade outside.

Kinkade rolled into the ring to break the count and hurtled across the ring and speared Knox through the ropes and to the outside, squashing the champ against the steel ring barrier.  It was Kinkade’s turn now to pummel the champ, but a charge went wrong and the challenger was back body dropped into the audience. Knox followed him over the ring barrier and the pair proceeded to brawl in the audience.  Knox hauled the challenger onto the announcer’s table, but was distracted by Ivanoff, and the bloodied Kinkade took advantage with a sneak attack on the champ.

The pair re-entered the ring and grappled, before Kinkade launched a charge towards Knox in the corner.  The champ got his feet up in time, but before he could take advantage on the top rope, he was knocked off his feet and Kinkade was able to hit a Superplex off the top.

As they climbed to their feet Knox was able to lock in a Sleeper, but Kinkade pulverised the champ into the ring corner and jolted himself free.  Knox then headed up top and hit a huge crossbody, but Kinkade came back and attempted to lock in the Stretch Muffler.  Knox countered into his own submission, Fort Knox, but the challenger managed to drag himself to the ropes and the champ was forced to break the hold.

The pair criss-crossed on the ropes and both went down to a double clothesline, and on regaining their feet, Knox hit a leg lariat to take Kinkade down again.  Knox went for the Knox out, but Valentine drew attention to himself with Knox’s daughter at ringside, and a distracted Knox went down to an attack from behind by Kinkade.  Knox was unable to kick out of Kinkade’s pin and “The Professional” Joseph Kinkade became the new IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion!
